On January 23rd, CityNews visited First Gulf offices to speak with CEO David Gerofsky about East Harbour- the largest commercial project currently planned in Canada. The master plan and rezoning application for East Harbour, which is being led by First Gulf, has been submitted to the City and is now under review. The unprecedented urban development located on a 60-acre site directly east of Toronto’s downtown core, is to be anchored by a pivotal, multi-modal transit hub.
The full video can be viewed here.
East Harbour is anticipated to incorporate more than 10-million square feet of office space (enough for over 50,000 workers), which will help the city meet its growing need for well-connected, technology-driven, healthy and sustainable work spaces to serve and attract employers and employees to Toronto.
The new neighbourhood is also envisioned to feature over 2-million square feet of retail, restaurants, entertainment and cultural space, as well as parks, public art and active programming aimed to engage locals and invite visitors from across the country and abroad.
For more information on East Harbour, visit the Project Page, or contact Derek Goring, Vice President of Development (dgoring@firstgulf.com).
