The Globe and Mail Centre Sheds Tower Cranes

Posted in: Under Construction

The Globe and Mail Centre continues to progress at 351 King Street East, reaching another landmark this past weekend as the two tower cranes were dismantled and removed from site. The removal process began end of day on Friday, March 18th and was complete by end of day on Saturday, March 19th.  Construction on-site has continued steadily throughout the winter months, and glazing of the 17-storey office tower is nearly complete.

In just a few short months, this 500,000 sf office building will welcome major corporate tenants such as The Globe and Mail, LoyaltyOne (Air Miles Reward Miles), and Yellow Pages. The Globe and Mail Centre will also feature exciting new retail on both King and Front streets, as well as a grand lobby that connects King and Front streets.
