First Gulf broke ground on a 102,000 sf office building at 610 Chartwell Road at an official groundbreaking ceremony in Oakville this morning. Located in close proximity to Oakville-Trafalgar GO Station at Trafalgar Road and Cross Avenue, 610 Chartwell is the third transit-oriented LEED® Gold office building First Gulf has recently kicked-off in Oakville. Peter Milczyn, MPP for Etobicoke-Lakeshore and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure, and Town of Oakville Mayor Rob Burton were on-hand for the groundbreaking ceremony, along with other municipal government officials.
Visible to the QEW, 610 Chartwell will add another 102,000 sf of office space to the immediate area, and is already more than 50% leased. Targeting LEED® Gold, the building has secured MMM Group as a key tenant. MMM Group has also acted as a key consultant throughout the design process, working with the design team at Pearce McClusky Architects. Once complete, 610 Chartwell will provide Class-A office space for up to 600 employees.
Through First Gulf’s partnership with Oakville Rapid Transit, tenants of 610 Chartwell will also benefit from a dedicated bus route, which will shuttle employees to and from Oakville-Trafalgar GO Transit Station.
