Located on a 60-acre site directly east of Toronto’s downtown core, East Harbour is the largest commercial project currently planned in Canada. First Gulf is currently in the master planning phase of the project, which has included comprehensive community engagement to understand the perspectives of key stakeholders. These early plans have positioned East Harbour to usher in a new era of healthy, connected, technology-supported workplaces, as well as various innovative measures for sustainability, connectivity, and wellness. With 10-million sf of office and 2-million sf of retail currently planned, this urban land development initiative will not only be a new centre of commerce, but also a year-round local and international destination.
Construction of East Harbour is anticipated to commence in 2018, with the first phase completed by 2023. This first phase will also include a critical, multi-modal transit hub (pictured above) which will feature connections to major regional and local transit lines.
