One of First Gulf’s most recent office developments located at 610 Chartwell Road in Oakville, Ontario, has been officially accredited with LEED® Gold certification. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification is the most widely recognized third-party verification for green buildings. LEED-certified buildings are better for our environment and for our communities. They are resource-efficient, use less water and energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
610 Chartwell scored high in numerous LEED categories, specifically in Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Indoor Environment Quality and Innovation in Design. Partnering with a LEED Accredited Professional to help coordinate and manage the process, First Gulf developed 610 Chartwell with a strong focus on optimal energy performance, green power, efficient landscaping for water use reduction, and the utilization of low-emitting materials (special types of adhesives, sealants, paints and coatings).
